Tom holds a BA in Economics and English from Austin College. Tom, his wife and three children reside in Los Gatos, California.

| Gary M. Rose - Chief Technical Officer Gary M. Rose serves as Chief Technology Officer of Wide Area Management Services. Mr. Rose has over 20 years of senior management experience in technical networking, communications, and security in both the private and military industries. In his position of CTO, Mr. Rose has taken the leading role in developing the numerous modules which make up Wide Area Management Service Inc..s industry acclaimed Network Management Center solutions. These offerings include WAN/LAN/MAN SLA monitoring/management, IP Telephony design/support, IP Network Design and Network Security services. Additionally, Mr. Rose provides technical and engineering leadership to the company and leads the services, support, and operations organizations. Mr. Rose co-founded WAMS with Tom Shaw in 1995. |
Prior to founding WAMS, from 1989 to 1995 Mr. Rose held the position of Senior Technical Manager for NetSolve (later acquired by Cisco Systems). In this position Mr. Rose assisted in managing the company.s transitioning from a facilities based carrier to a network management provider specializing in IP Telephony. At NetSolve, Mr. Rose helped to design, install, and maintain a 28 city nation-wide fiber optic DACS network. This system was managed with the fore-runner of today.s Network Operating Center concept and was the one of the first independent service provider NOC.s in existence. From 1987 to 1989 Mr. Rose served as Field Services Manager for ACS in Austin and Houston, Texas. |
Mr. Rose is a decorated veteran who served from 1984 to 1987 in the U.S. Air Force as a Communications Engineer. Mr. Rose received an Honorable Discharge after serving tours in South Korea, the Philippines, and the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. While stationed in Colorado Springs, Mr. Rose helped design, install, and manage the first Military Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) which included the entire Colorado Springs Military Community, the Pentagon, and certain other security agencies. |
Mr. Rose attended the University of Texas at Austin where he majored in Electrical Engineering. |
